Amity Elementary

What's New?

From the Desk of Mr. Drouhard

Dear Amity Family,

Our conference day was a great success! We had a lot of parents sign up to meet, which allowed for great conversations between teachers and parents. We truly appreciate our partnership with you in helping to drive our students academic and personal growth! Hopefully by next year we will be able to welcome you back inside Amity Elementary for conferences. Thank you for continuing to meet with us digitally and for all that you do on a daily basis!

Take Care,
Josh

We will recognize our students that received a 3rd quarter academic award on Wednesday, March 24th. Unfortunately we can’t invite parents into the building to view the awards ceremony due to COVID19 safety measures. We are working to provide an individual picture of the students who receive an award. Following the ceremony, teachers will be reaching out by phone, email, or a note to inform you of why the awarded student received the honor.

Mask Ordinance and District Policies

We want to take a moment to remind all of our district families that Governor Mike DeWine has not lifted the mask mandate in the state of Ohio.

We are happy that cases have been relatively low in the district through the last several weeks, be must remain diligent throughout the rest of the year in order to maintain our recent successes.

With that said, it is important to remind everyone that students and staff will all still be required to wear a mask while in district buildings moving forward. We are hopeful that this may not be the case next fall, but for now, it is important that we continue to practice proper protocols regarding COVID-19.

Attendance

Please remember to call our attendance line (513-891-2414) or email Betty Jung (jung.b@dpccsd.org), our attendance secretary, if your student is going to be out.

This is especially important with the number of people that are either required to quarantine by the health department, or quarantining on their own accord.    We need to be aware of these situations outside of school so that we can appropriately mark the attendance and provide guidance from the district if necessary.   Thanks for all your help!
