Testing Begins This Week
Good afternoon,
Tuesday and Wednesday this week mark the beginning of our end of course tests. Please be sure to double-check, if needed, the information about starting times for non-testing students, the need for students to bring charged Chromebooks, and test days from a release last week. If needed, here is a link to that release.
In addition to logistics, we also want to thank you for helping your student be sure to get great nights of rest this week and something for breakfast so that he/she/they are as ready as possible to do a great job Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lastly, please help your student, as needed, know that we always ask our students to do their best. However, please also let them know that we know they have prepared well this year to have success. They should feel confident, as are we, that they will do great!
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Shane Hartley

What's New
PARKERS 2021!
As many of you know, this year’s Parkers performance will look much different! Making the best out of the situation, the Parkers crew has put together a feature length documentary to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Parks. This documentary features interviews with some of the most influential Parkers directors, participants and advisors in the history of the program. It will also include all of your favorite acts like the boy's and girl's kicklines, Deer Park band and choirs, and variety skits performed by current Deer Park students. To see the documentary, Parkers is setting up a purchase option for various packages and levels. For more information, please see this link!
SPRING EVENTS
We are excited to be able to bring back many of the traditional events that we unfortunately were not able to hold as normal last year. While we are back in session this Spring, we are also in the process of putting together plans for these events in a safe way that follows Department of Public Health protocols.
More details are to come as we get closer to these events, and most of these events will may unfortunately need to be open only to students and staff with a live streaming option. Here are a few dates to know:
Senior Academic Signing Day: April 29th, 2:15pm (Parents of participants invited)
Junior/Senior Prom: May 8th (see information below)
7th Grade Awards: May 17th, 8:30am (Students/Staff In-Person, Streaming Online)
8th Grade Awards: May 18th, 8:30am (Students/Staff In-Person, Streaming Online)
Underclass Awards: May 19th, 1:20pm (Students/Staff In-Person, Streaming Online)
Senior Awards: May 25th, 12:30pm (Senior parents invited)
Graduation Ceremony: May 27th, 7:00pm (see information below)
STUDENT FEES
In the past, we have often been able to use events like Homecoming and Prom to help parents/guardians remember to pay student fees. With no Prom or Homecoming over the last year, however, unfortunately many student fees have gone unpaid. Please consider this a friendly reminder to check and pay for your child's student fees. Thank you for your help! Here is a link to the PaySchools website, and please feel free to reach out to the front office (513-891-0010) for any help or questions. We greatly appreciate it!
