DEER PARK TO OFFER WALK-IN COVID-19 VACCINE CLINIC

Next Saturday, May 22nd, Deer Park Schools will be offering a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 8:00am - 12:00pm in the Amity Elementary gymnasium.  This will be open to the public and shots are available for anyone 12 years old and up.  For more information, please click here!

MASK INFORMATION/UPDATE

With the recent announcements from the CDC and the State of Ohio regarding mask policies, we want to be sure to update our families as well.  Yesterday, Governor DeWine sent a message to schools that we will continue with our mask mandates in school settings for the rest of the school year.  For more details, please follow this link.

EXAM SCHEDULE AND EXEMPTION INFORMATION

Exams begin next Monday for students in grades 9-11.  Here is a link to our exam schedule.  Please note that students are expected to be in all classes, though students do not have to attend the exam period if they are exempt from the exam.

Students may be exempt from exams for any class in which they've earned straight A's in all year.  If a student is exempt from an exam, he/she/they may pick up an exam exemption form for teachers and parents to fill out.  These forms are located in the front office and are due by THIS THURSDAY, MAY 20TH.

AWARDS CEREMONIES BEGIN THIS WEEK

Our awards ceremonies begin tomorrow, Monday, May 17th, with our 7th Grade Awards.  Please see information below for more details.

Additionally, we are going to be live streaming our awards ceremonies.  In case you missed the press release earlier this week with links to the live streams, please click here to access all of the live stream links.

SENIOR EVENT INFORMATION

We will continue to release information for Senior end-of-year events on each Tuesday for the rest of the school year.  For a link to this past week's information, please click here.  Please remember that ALL seniors are invited to Senior Awards (May 25th), since we will NOT know the winners ahead of time.

FREE ACT BOOTCAMP THIS SUMMER!

In case you missed it, we are offering two FREE sessions of ACT Prep this summer.  For more information, please see this link!

REMOTE LEARNING 2021-2022

Due to a lack of interest from our families, Deer Park Schools will not be offering the Remote Academy for the 2021-2022 school year. We look forward to welcoming back all of our students for five-day per week, in-person learning in the fall!

In the months ahead, we will be watching for the latest state guidance on health and safety protocols and adapting as necessary. We will continue to accommodate students with special health concerns, as we have in prior years. Families with specific concerns should reach out to their building principal.

STUDENT FEES

In the past, we have often been able to use events like Homecoming and Prom to help parents/guardians remember to pay student fees.  With no Prom or Homecoming over the last year, however, unfortunately many student fees have gone unpaid.  Please consider this a friendly reminder to check and pay for your child's student fees.  Thank you for your help!  Here is a link to the PaySchools website, and please feel free to reach out to the front office (513-891-0010) for any help or questions.  We greatly appreciate it!

A Note for Our 100% Online Remote Learning Academy Students

As we near the end of the school year, we want to be sure that all RLA students are achieving at their highest levels, which means ensuring work is completed.  RLA Students: Please make sure you are checking and completing assignments according to their due dates. Some assignments that may be listed as "late" or "missing" may unfortunately change to a "zero" in the gradebook.

Due dates to remember as we finish the school year:

For grades 6-11: By 5/21, please complete all work from Unit 5.

If you need help figuring out how to do any of this missing work, please pop into one of the help sessions noted in High School Links and Extra Activities and Middle School Links and Extra Activities.  You may also email or BAND-message Ms. Apke or Ms. Hibbett anytime for help.

Ready...Set...Go!
