Dear Amity Families:
We have received a request from the Deer Park Police Department regarding drop-off and pick-up procedures. Over the past few days with the start of school, there has been an influx of traffic at the corner of Lake Avenue and Linden Avenue during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
The Deer Park Police Department has requested that those waiting to enter the parking lots on Linden do not double park while on Lake Avenue or Linden Avenue. This creates a situation where emergency vehicles are unable to get through to other cross streets.
We are also asking parents to not block driveways, as this creates an inconvenience for our neighbors who may be trying to leave their homes.
