Amity Elementary Green Team
Did you know that Amity Elementary has a club called the Amity Green Team?
The Amity Green Team focuses on recycling the building's recyclable materials with paper being the biggest source. The club learns why recycling is important as well as how to reuse items that may not be able to be recycled by the city.
Green Team members also keep the community clean by picking up trash on/around school grounds to ensure this trash gets to the place it needs to.
Each year, the Green Team collects the plastic lunch cartons used in the cafeteria that cannot be recycled and make shrinky dinks out of them!
