Deer Park Jr/Sr High School Wildcat Weekly: January 2, 2022

Jr./Sr. High School

What's New?

A Message from the Administrators

Hello Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School Families!

Happy New Year!

First and foremost, Mindy and I are excited about the upcoming second semester at Deer Park Jr./Sr. High School. Our Students first day back from the Winter Holiday Break will be on Tuesday January 4. You can count on our teaching staff ramping all students right back into a rigorous academic day of teaching and learning to begin the new year! Our DPHS Staff will return to work on Monday, January 3 and will have a full day of Professional Development engaged in improving our instructional delivery in our classrooms.

The Sunday Wildcat Weekly will be a key communication link that will keep you well informed regarding the academic day and the many after-school clubs/events that will be taking place at DPHS.

In the meantime, let's continue to work together as a team to make a difference. Our Staff is here to serve you!

Enjoy your Sunday with your Family! Life is good!

Classroom Highlight

Teaching and Learning will be our key focus as we begin the second semester. In this section of the Wildcat Weekly, I will again be highlighting the actual teaching and learning that is taking place in our classrooms daily. As we head into the second semester the next three months will be intentionally focused on ensuring high impact academic instruction that challenges our students daily in every classroom is job 1.

In addition to our academic focus, there will be a focus on several key areas of our daily student operation that will be crucial to their success at DPHS and most importantly their success in future employment as they enter the competitive job market. There are no shortcuts to success! A strong work ethic, being on time to all classes, and good manners will be expected. Anything less will not be setting our students under our care up to be prepared when they enter the real world after graduation.
