COVID-19 Weekly Data Update

DP Logo

Good afternoon Deer Park families:

Below, you will find our current weekly COVID-19 data updates. This data includes all student and staff positive and probable cases, as well as quarantine numbers for each building.

As you look at our case numbers, all but four of the cases of COVID-positive students did not report to school this week, as they became symptomatic before school resumed this past Tuesday. We did have four students who became symptomatic on the first day back and ultimately tested positive. When we return to school on Monday, as of right now, there are only four students who will remain out of school based on new quarantine guidelines.

As a reminder, due to the change in the Ohio Department of Health’s quarantine guidelines, direct contacts in the school setting, regardless of vaccination or masking status, may remain in the classroom environment if they do the following:

  • Wear a mask for 10 days after their last day of exposure.
  • Self-monitor, or parent-monitor, for symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Isolate and get tested if they start to experience symptoms associated with COVID-19 (regardless of level of severity).

It is imperative that we all remain vigilant in monitoring for symptoms and continue to practice good hand-hygiene. We strongly encourage mask wearing, ensuring that masks cover both the mouth and nose. It is also important that all families/ staff conduct daily health checks PRIOR to leaving for school. If you/your student are sick or exhibiting any of the following symptoms such as a cough, shortness of breath, new smell disorder, new taste disorder, fever, shivering with chills, body aches, headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, congestion or runny nose, please stay home. If a household member is being tested, siblings should stay home until the test result comes back, in an effort to err on the side of caution and help to further reduce possible spread.
.
All student COVID-19 cases occurring outside of school hours (evenings/weekends) should be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • Call the Deer Park COVID Hotline at (513) 936-7843
  • Fill our the Deer Park COVID Reporting Form linked below:
