CINCINNATI, Ohio — With the Deer Park volleyball season just days away – the Wildcats open the season on August 27 on the road at Purcell Marian – Deer Park Athletic Director is proud to announce the addition of Meghan Beach as the head of the volleyball program.
Beach was confirmed by the Deer Park Board of Education as head coach during the July Regular Board of Education Meeting.
"Coach Beach brings an incredible wealth of experience to our volleyball team, as both a high-level player and a coach," Huster said. "She is the perfect fit to lead our team to new heights."
Beach is no stranger to the Wildcat program, having served as the 7th grade coach last season. She also has assisted at Mount Notre Dame High School and served as a coach for St. John's Deer Park, All Saints, club volleyball teams, and the Deer Park Youth Volleyball League, which she assisted in starting in 2019.
Her pedigree on the court is equally as impressive, having spent four years on the varsity team at Mount Notre Dame as a setter, leading the Cougars to a pair of OHSAA State Championships.
Beach parlayed that success into an NCAA Division III volleyball career, where she served as a four-year starter for Mount St. Joseph University. While with the Lions, Beach was named First Team All-Heartland Conference in two seasons, as well as Honorable Mention All-Region honors in 2003. During her four-year career, Beach and the Lions made a pair of appearances in the NCAA Division III Elite Eight.
"When I'm looking for coaches, I want people who have competed, and won, at the highest levels," Huster said. "There is no doubt that Coach Beach fits that bill. It's simply a bonus that she is a community member who is extremely active in the district."
Beach has three children currently attending Deer Park Schools. Her husband, A.J., is a Deer Park High School graduate.
