The Deer Park Marching Wildcats shined over the weekend in the season-opening band competition at the Kings Band Invitational–and brought home plenty of hardware in the process.
The squad put together one of the best performances to date, earning the following "Best in Class" honors in Class AAA:
- Best Guard
- Best Percussion
- Best Music
- Best General Effect
- Best Visual
- 1st Place Band
To top it all off, the Marching Wildcats finished as the Overall Grand Champion of the Invitational regardless of class!

You can catch the band back in action this weekend at the Homecoming Parade, as well as during halftime of the Deer Park football game.
The next competition for the Marching Wildcats will take place on September 24 at Hamilton High School.
