From the Desk of Mr. Drouhard
Amity Families,
I hope everyone is doing well. It was a big week this past week in getting second round packets out and having Chromebooks picked up. Hopefully you’ve received your second round of work packets in mail by now. Our goal this week is to kick off learning and build routines with this new material! We’ve organized a spirit week to get us going and celebrate learning, just like when we are at Amity! Please remember our goal is to engage students academically without it being high stress for students and parents. Please reach out to our teachers if you have questions or need help. We are here for you!
Chromebooks were also distributed this past Wednesday. Please know that these Chromebooks have the same safety features as they do at Amity, which means they have filters to block some non-educational content and systems to track safe usage. Should you have any problems with your Chromebook, please email techhelp@dpccsd.org for help in getting it fixed.
Although we aren’t together at Amity, I am excited to see our student’s academic growth this week!
Please Take Care,
Josh
From Mrs. McKnight, Our Amity Counselor
Hi Amity families!
I know as this situation continues, we are seeing more children with anxiety. Today, I have a few resources for you. The first one is from Mindpeace Cincinnati. They have created virtual rooms for calming spaces for children ages K-12. Please check them out HERE.
I have also included a document with information on anxiety in children. You can find that information HERE.
Take care and stay well,
Amy McKnight
