Jr./Sr. High School End of the Year Check-Out Procedures and Information

OVERVIEW

Starting next week (May 11th), all students will be able to access their lockers and return their materials, including Chromebooks and chargers.

Students will be permitted to access the building from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Monday (5/11), Wednesday (5/13), and Friday (5/15)
  • Monday (5/18), Wednesday (5/20)

SIGN-UPS

We will be permitting a maximum of 10 students (plus one parent) in the building at a time.  In order for students/parents to ensure that they will not have to wait, we are asking parents to sign up using the Sign-Up Genius link here:

PROCEDURE

Students will need to enter the building by the back entrance near the cafeteria and 7th grade hallway in order to "check-in".

Students will then be directed to pick up any instruments they may have then visit their lockers.  After that, students will be directed to drop off any books or materials they have.

CHROMEBOOKS AND CHARGERS

There will be a separate station set up for students to return Chromebooks and chargers.  Please note that the charge for any lost chargers is $52.00.

If a student still needs to use their Chromebooks to complete work for their classes, the student may temporarily hang onto it.  We will provide information for a backup Chromebook drop off date in a couple of week.s

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

We are asking that any students and parents who have been exposed to Coronavirus OR have a fever NOT enter our building.  Please contact the school for a separate appointment that will ensure the safety of all.

All staff members present will have a mask and gloves as needed.  We will continue to enforce a social distancing policy as well, so some students may need to wait for locker access if another student is nearby.

MATERIALS NOT PICKED UP

If any lockers are not cleaned out, we will work with our custodians to clean these out.  We will use our typical procedure in this circumstance, including possibly donating any left over clothing items to Goodwill.
