Dear Deer Park Parents and Students -
We know everyone is anxiously awaiting the release of our Reopening of Schools Plan for this fall. We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we work to develop a plan that we feel will permit our staff to provide the highest quality education to our students while also keeping our students and staff safe and healthy.
We have received significant feedback from our community surveys and task force groups, as well as guidance from the Governor's Office, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Hamilton County Public Health Department. We are working to combine all of this feedback and guidance into one clear and concise document that we will release to you no later than next Friday, July 17.
Heading into this school year, the one word we will all have to live by is FLEXIBILITY. There will be no single perfect plan and no one is sure exactly how this virus will impact our community and our country between now and the start of school. The only for sure thing that I can promise you is that we will do everything we can to keep our students, staff, and families safe based on the latest and most current research, evidence, and data that we have. As a district, we will have to remain nimble, fluid, and flexible.
Enjoy your weekend and please look for our plans to be released by the end of next week.
Sincerely,
Jay Phillips
Superintendent
